What lockdown did for me............................

Updated: Dec 2

Where did I leave my bike? 🤣

A random garden wall found in Winton - the home of poet, Banjo Patterson and also Qantas Airline

What a time in history - will we remember this in a few years time - will we be the same as before or will things change.......?

Change for the better or have things turned out worse......?

Lockdown had not even started as we started the flight for a 2 month holiday in Australia to visit family and friends.

As we were coming in to land, the pilot announced that Australia was going into Lockdown and we were going to have to quarantine for 2 weeks.

This was with no apparent warning 😳

On landing our daughter picked us up and took us back to her shared flat.

We had to isolate for the whole two weeks but as she and her flat mate worked on the COVID frontline, she became more and more nervous for our safety and found us an airbnb to stay in.

This was not a cheap option so a flight home was the only option after a mere 2 weeks holiday in quarantine 😩

After a long flight home with no chance of getting out of the aircraft and only sandwiches for the LONG trip (British Airways did however offer a complimentary bottle of wine for everyone on the plane!). So we hired a car and drove very sleepily home.....

We decided we had to invent some interesting things to do in this Lockdown because we had no idea how long it would last...

First - the garden - including creating further raised beds outside the front

Second - the gazebo and fencing around the oil tank

Thirdly - the creation of a number of videos.....

Fourthly - creating my own stuff including songs and recording covers. This was in preparation for the construction of my new venture - this webpage and my YouTube channel.

Photography and videoing came along and the use of technology to create the above!

What a steep but fun learning curve - no going back now.

This was just one of the spots in Australia that we have visited in the past - Bonnie Doon, north of Melbourne
