Roadblocks in the life of a thriving christian artist looking at opposites

I choose FEAR

fear is a complex word

it can be positive but

definitely related to negativity

perfectionism

fear creates perfectionism

a feeling of not good enough

a feeling of what if

what if I’d done this or not done that

why does one feel fear - it goes nowhere

nowhere fast

fear and faith are opposites

it either leads us to the enemy or to God

In the Bible, God is to be feared - that is respected and reverenced

but in a dark street

paralysis sets in rooting us to the spot

afraid to move - in case…….

fear washes over us in attempting something new or

meeting someone new

or walking into a crowded room

or starting a new skill

or having learnt a new skill and then sharing with others

we can be petrified with fear at times

the fear of the unexpected or an imagined problem

something that isn’t really there it is only in our minds…

but if we let go of our fear it can lead us into a fearless faith

a fearless faith in God who will take us on this journey

who will guide us to create art we never dreamt we would be able to do

and to not be afraid to try new pieces of creativity..

I am a musician but I love words

and I love paints but have never really painted much before

it is so exciting to see that splodge on a piece of paper and

think can I make something of that?

Faith is believing the unseen

the unknown

like sitting on a chair

we have total faith when we sit on a chair

the legs could collapse after all!

Faith is looking ahead not back

trusting that God has our back and everything in between

Faith is believing in Jesus - who is unseen

faith is believing the Bible’s truths

faith is believing God not the other side

I want to have this roadblock completely removed

for I am going for faith and not fear

This piece was created from another course I completed in Lockdown - The Thriving Christian Artist.

Again we were encouraged to just create and put into the chat something that was new for us....
